NordicPhotos is a picture agency founded in Iceland in the year 2000.
Today we represent images from over 500 professional photographers along with
dozens of other image collection in the Nordic region.
These pictures are distributed online through our website as well as through over
80 distributers around the world.

In 2003 the company started expanding and has, through series of acquisitions,
established itself as one of the leading picture agencies in the Nordic countries.
We first acquired Mira Bildarkiv and IMS Bildbyrå in 2003, the year later (2006)
we acquired Tiofoto and in 2006 we acquired Greatshots. Our latest acquisition was
in Norway last year (2008) when GV-Press was bought.

Along site our acquisitions we have launched Siluet which is a Danish image collection
and Simply North which is a royalty free image collection. By combining all these different
Nordic image collections we have totaled 130.000 digital images from over 500 photographers,
creating one of Nordic’s best and versatile image collection.
 
In addition NordicPhotos distributes and sells images from other large picture agencies
in the Nordic area, both Rights managed and Royalty free. All in all, NordicPhotos offers
dozens of photo collections and millions of images to our clients.
